Skyrunning is not a sport for the weak, either in body or spirit. Nor is it for a privileged few. More and more runners are turning from pavement pounding to the freedom of the high mountains, to clean crisp air and wide, breathtaking horizons.

Every year over 30,000 people take part in events worldwide, from the short but sharp Vertical Kilometers to grueling full distance SkyMarathons, team competitions like the spectacular SkyRaid and the four yearly “high altitude Olympics”, the SkyGames.
